About me
Caitlin Bordeaux (Sicangu Lakota) is the Director of Educator Empowerment and Instructional Design at Indigitize, where she leads curriculum development and professional learning initiatives that integrate computer science, artificial intelligence, and Indigenous ways of knowing. Her expertise is teaching at the high school level, specializing in computer science, technology, and STEM Career and Technical Education (CTE). Caitlin previously taught at Saint Francis Indian School and Lakota Tech High School, where she played a key role in launching the STEM program at a new CTE school in 2020. Her work centers on creating culturally grounded, future-focused learning experiences for Indigenous youth and educators, with an emphasis on computational thinking, innovation, and community relevance. In addition to her classroom experience, Caitlin has contributed to many curriculum efforts through Indigitize, aiEdu, and AISES. Caitlin is currently pursuing a PhD in STEM Education, with research interests that include Indigenous methodologies, art, science, technology, curriculum design, and community-centered approaches to STEM learning.
