AI Guided by Community Values
Wednesday July 15, 2026 12:30pm - 1:30pm MDT
As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes increasingly present in education, educators must navigate new opportunities, challenges, and responsibilities. This session explores AI through Indigenous perspectives of relationship, reciprocity, responsibility, and respect. Drawing on experiences from Indigitize's professional learning with educators, participants will reflect on how AI intersects with Indigenous knowledge, data, cultural protocols, and teaching practice. Together, we will explore questions, tensions, and guiding principles that can support responsible and community-centered approaches to AI in education.
